I grew up in a small agricultural community in Central Texas. I received my B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science from Tarleton State University in 2008 and 2010, respectively. I began working at a meat processing company in 2010 where I worked as Operations Manager for 2 ½ years. In the Spring of 2013, I returned to academia to serve as Assistant Manager at Texas A&M’s Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center, as well as to begin my Ph.D. in Meat Science and Food Safety. I finished my Ph.D. from Texas A&M in August 2017. Since March 2017, I have worked for a food ingredients company where my primary focus is helping food processors maximize the effectiveness of the ingredients they are using in their value-added products.
