The world is crying out for more community. People are coming together and sharing resources, learning what grows well from one another. We’re strengthening their ability to grow their own food, because when you share seeds you also share knowledge.

Location: West County Community Seed Exchange in Sebastopol, California
Featuring: Sara McCamant

Sara says the only reason we have the amount of diversity available to us right now is because people have saved seeds. They have passed them around, shared them, improved them, grown them, improved them again and given them to someone else. Seeds are really the first link in a local food system. Because of seeds, people are coming together and sharing resources in a world that is crying out for more community; they’re strengthening people’s ability to grow their own food.
