Small Batches, Small Business

In 2012 California passed the California Homemade Food Act, allowing certain kinds of small food enterprises to operate out of home kitchen.

The Sustainable Economies Law Center, the Los Angeles Bread Bakers, the California State Grange, the Office of Assembly Member Mike Gatto made these new “Cottage Food Operations” possible with the help of huge grassroots efforts made by people across the state.
