A pollinator habitat plan is a Conservation Activity Plan under the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). An EQIP contract is a partnership between the Natural Resources Conservation Service and farmers to protect natural resources through land management practices. A pollinator habitat plan expands flower-rich habitats that can support native or managed pollinators. NRCS specialists develop a pollinator habitat by selecting for plants with different flowering times so that there is habitat year-round. Examples of plantings under a pollinator habitat plan include a hedgerow, wildlife corridor, and buffer strips.
